Introduction to postgraduate specialties

The School of Sciences at Jiangxi University of Science and Technology has two first-level master degree authorization points: Mathematics and Electronic Science and Technology and two second-level master degree authorization points: Computer Science and Technology and Electronics and Communications Engineering. Among them, Mathematics and Computer Science and Technology are academic master degree authorization points, and students are granted master of science degrees; Electronic Science and Technology is academic master degree authorization points, and students are granted master of Engineering degrees; Electronics and  Information is professional master degree authorization points, and students are granted master of engineering degrees.

1Mathematics

Mathematics is the third level subject of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (General doctorial point training subject). The master degree point concludes four secondary subjects such as basic mathematics, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics. The research field contains combinatorial matrices and graph theory, nonlinear analysis and convex optimization, numerical calculation and engineering simulation, nonlinear statistical inference and its application and so on. In recent years, mathematics is closely combined with the development direction of subjects and school characteristics and conducts researches on the combinatorial matrix theory and algebraic graph theory, nonlinear analysis and application, geometric design and calculation, intelligent computing and application, numerical method of differential equations, image processing and pattern recognition, non - parametric and semi - parametric statistical inference and application and so on.

In recent five years, 11 NSFC projects are presided in this subject, and there are nearly 20 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects. The research project outlay is more than 3 million yuan. In this subject, there are more than 60 academic papers were published, among which more than 30 papers have been retrieved by SCI and EI, and 2 monographs are published. It has one second prize of Jiangxi Natural Science, one first prize of teaching achievement in Jiangxi Province and two third prizes of the outstanding achievement award of Jiangxi Social Science.

2Electronic science and technology

The subject of electronic science and technology is the third level subject of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (General doctorial point training subject). The master degree point mainly concludes four secondary subjects such as electronic circuit and system, physical electronics, electromagnetic field and microwave technology, microelectronics and solid-state electronics. The research direction contains circuit and nonlinear system design, electronic intelligent system, light wave electronics, information optoelectronics technology, signal detecting and processing, electronic materials and device, quantum electronic device, radio wave propagation and antenna technology, computational electromagnetic and so on.

In the past five years, this subject has undertaken 20 NSFC projects, presided over 17 provincial-level scientific research projects, with a vertical funding of 8 million yuan, and it has 16 research cooperation projects with enterprises, with a funding of more than 2.4 million yuan. The total research funding is more than 10 million yuan. It has 3 scientific research awards at or above the provincial level, 7 national invention patents, 3 utility model patents, and more than 110 high-level papers were published in Scientific Reports, Phys.Rev.A, IEEE and other international journals. It has one second prize of national teaching achievement and two first and two second prizes of provincial teaching achievement.

3.Computer Science and technology

The master degree point of Computer Science and technology was established in 2008 and is a second-level subject of the Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. The research directions of this master program involve intelligent computing and information security, computer graphics, numerical computing and complexity science, modeling and application software, network and network security, multi-cloud integration and collaborative services, artificial intelligence and data engineering, mobile cloud computing, and integrated intelligent communication networks.

In this subject, there are more than 80 papers are published in the past three years, among which more than 40 papers have been retrieved by SCI and EI. This subject has edited 3 textbooks, has more than 20 national invention patents have been authorized, has 7 provincial and ministerial-level projects are completed, has 6 National Natural Science Foundation research projects and 6 provincial and ministerial-level research projects, has 4 horizontal projects were completed, and has 3 horizontal projects are under study. The annual average research expenditure of every tutor is more than 100,000 RMB. This subject has established good cooperation with the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Third Research Institute of Ministry of Public Security, Ganzhou Branch of China Telecom, Ganzhou Radio and Television Bureau, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Unicom Branch, Hangzhou Taiyu Technology Co., Ltd. , ZTE Software (Nanchang) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Education Robot Co., Ltd. and many Ganzhou local IT enterprises, and provides long-term scientific and technological service for Jiangxi Copper Company, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Unicom Branch and other enterprises, and many achievements have been applied.

4. Electronics and Information

Electronics and information is a comprehensive interdisciplinary subject of physical electronics, circuits and systems, information technology and related technologies. This master's degree mainly conducts basic and applied research in the field of electronic information science and technology. Electronic technology uses the basic theories of physical electronics, microelectronics and solid-state electronics to solve the  engineering technique problems of electronic components, integrated circuits, instruments and computers design and manufacture. Information technology research on theoretical techniques such as information transmission, information exchange, and signal detection. The main research directions of this master degree point include optoelectronic information science and technology, embedded system development, circuits and systems, biomedical information, electronic materials and devices, and quantum electronics.

In the past five years, this subject has undertaken 20 national scientific research projects and 17 provincial scientific research projects, with a vertical funding of 8 million yuan, and it has more than 100 papers are published, among which more than 40 papers have been retrieved by SCI and EI, has 1 academic monograph is published, has one second prize of provincial natural science, one second prize for progress in Science and Technology and technological progress and one second prize of Scientific and Technological Achievements of colleges and universities in Jiangxi province, and has 7 authorized invention patents.
